Whales can usually be seen August-November on their way to Cape Town. Whale sharks are also common and usually seen when going on the dolphin trips.

Praia do Sul   – Ask for directions in the village

Beach Bar  –   Down on the Beach – great place to have a drink, unwind and forget about the stresses of life. Another 3 bars in town and others outside of town . Just ask around for directions in particular to Mike & Jill Platt’s unique ’on the side of the road’ restaurant/bar where you will find the best chicken peri-peri on the coastline. For Campismo Ninho turn right just after the old 360 degrees restaurant.    Jelly-billies is on left before you get to 360.   Sunset Shack is yet another experience situated along the road on the way to Malongane.

Ponta Village   –  Drive or walk to the village. Head for the village past the camp site on your right and the Dolphin office on your left. Alternatively, walk down the walkways to the beach and head out to the village along the beach.

Kwaya Keru –     Change the scenery – try them for breakfast.

Ponta Malongane  –   Those with a 4wd can head out to Ponta Malongane or Ponta Mamoli. Beautiful camp site set in remote area with Restaurant.

Boutiques    –    Policia Boutique – a small boutique for the ladies with some interesting items situated near the Market. There are a few other small shops, selling odds and ends in the Village where you will also find the supermarket etc.
